Selkirk Bowling Club President, Marjorie Lawrie, presented Fresh Start volunteers with a cheque for £226, raised at the club’s recent Fun Day. Our thanks go to everyone who helped to make the fun day, and Saturday’s coffee morning, such a success.
Our thanks go to Hawick Cycling Club for their generous donation of £200 in return for the lunch prepared by FSB chair and friends as the Ken Laidlaw Sportif riders pedalled past.
Our AGM takes place on Wednesday June 6th at 7pm, in St John’s Church Selkirk. You are very welcome to join us, or to get in touch if you have any issues you would like us to raise.
Liz Elliott of Greenvale AP in Duns recently presented a £500 cheque to Irene McFadzean of Fresh Start Borders. Thank you, Greenvale, for choosing us as one of the four charities you supported during 2017.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Sainsbury’s and the generous Borderers who donated to Fresh Start through Sainsbury’s Christmas appeal. Following collections in stores in Peebles, Kelso, Hawick and Selkirk, we received 4 carloads of goods donated by staff and customers. What a fantastic Christmas gift!
