We are getting a lot of referrals for parents with children: we are looking for fun children’s bed linen, crockery, etc. to make their packs a bit more personalised. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s Christmas Appeal. We raised over £300, ensuring that all starter packs over the Christmas period contained a toaster.

Following the success of last year’s ‘sponsor a clock radio appeal‘, this year we are appealing for £5 donations to ensure that each pack we prepare over the Christmas period contains a toaster. The Eildon Housing Trust presented a very generous cheque for £2,300 on Wednesday 26th September. The money will enable Fresh Start to bulk-purchase the goods required to meet the increasing demand for our starter packs.
We are very short on saucepans to include in our packs. Either good quality second hand or new budget range ones from supermarkets would be very welcome.
Last week saw us making our 500th starter pack. Our local MSP John Lamont joined us to help with the packing. Thank you to all who have helped us by donating goods and money and of course to the hard working volunteers who make it happen. Please continue to help meet this on-going need.
